Scenekunstbrukets works politically to strengthen the Norwegian performing arts field for a young audience, and is a knowledge base for ministries, politicians, intermediary bodies, industry organizations and performing artists.

Scenekunstbruket puts professional performing arts for a younger audience on the agenda. We are a member of in networks and associations where we have the opportunity to work for better artist finances and artistic growth. We have contact with the Ministry of Culture, Kulturtanken and the Norwegian Directorate for Culture, politicians, organizers (including county councils), industry organizations, trade unions, educational institutions and performing artists.

Every year, we provide input to the national budget and to various white papers that are relevant to the field, organize professional events with political themes, and participate in various cultural policy arenas. In addition, Scenekunstbruket provides the Ministry of Culture and Statistics Norway with updated statistics and figures for our activities. We also share our expertise about Norwegian performing arts with our international networks, so that they can work politically to strengthen the arts in their countries.
