I Want to Go Home to the People was about a Norwegian poet, Gunvor Hofmo, who was psychotic. She believed that terrible things were going to happen to her and that her lost love, Ruth Meier, a Norwegian Jew, was alive, even though she had been sent to a concentration camp and died there. Gunvor had to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital to get help there because she was so mentally damaged. So, it was simply about a woman who had severe mental problems and needed help.

We thought it was very good, but we thought they could have been a little clearer about how, for example, Ruth died, but otherwise we liked that it made us think a little for ourselves. The music and the lyrics fit in very well, because they helped tell the story. In some of the lyrics they sang about how lonely Gunvor was, so we really liked this performance.
