"Bully Bully" is a musical unlike anything I've ever seen before.

In the performance Bully Bully, the performers contribute little vocally, but still tell an attention-grabbing story about conflict and quarrels. We follow two royals, who always try to have higher, bigger, or better things than their neighbor. When one of them brings a model of his own head, his neighbor brings a whole bust, and so it goes throughout the performance.

Fun music

There's a soundtrack in the background throughout the performance that the actors interact with. There is a segment where the kings show how good they are at dancing to different songs. Here we find songs from many different genres; "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, "Single Ladies" by Beyoncé and "Mundian to Bach Ke" by Panjabi MC. In addition to rock, pop and bhangra, we find opera and folk music. The most common music, however, is a type of rockified court music.

Dear kings

Before the performance has begun, the actors are already on stage, where they glamorously wave to the audience while sitting on their own pillars, which most people, at least the children, thought was great fun. I thought the characters were very funny, even though there was some fart and burp humor, they managed to perform so that even adults laughed at it. The kings are easy to fall in love with, both for children and adults since they are like clowns, but also reminiscent of heads of state that we find around the world today with them pretending to be best friends as soon as pictures are taken by the press. I think the play is good for everyone, since we older people see this criticism of politicians and perhaps learn from it and become more interested in international politics, while the younger ones see a fun performance.

A lot of fun

"Bully Bully" can be enjoyed by children of all ages from 0 to 99. The performers are very good at both dancing and acting. They make clear facial expressions that make it easy to understand what is happening and what they are thinking. They interact a lot with the audience and make it easy to be engaged. If you're a good audience member, you might even get a little gift after the performance, which I won't spoil. I would definitely watch the production again if I had the opportunity.
