Clapping at a high level
Ingrid Jasmin is a singer who sings in three different languages. The languages she sings in are Norwegian, Spanish and English. Her songs are a mix of flamenco, folk music and pop.
"We think it was a decent concert, and it was nice to experience her culture through the music we heard. It was nice to see her enjoying herself on stage, she seemed very confident and that made the concert even better. She brought along two professional clappers who taught us how to clap to some of their songs. A large part of the audience joined in the clapping, which made the atmosphere great. There were some aspects of the concert we didn't understand, but it was still a great experience.
It was very exciting to listen to something new that we don't usually listen to. It was a unique stage, with nice lights. There were two small stages on either side of the room, sort of a catwalk between the stages and rows of seats on either side. It was cool that they could dance and walk around close to the audience. When she danced, she came very close to us because we in young voices were told to sit on the floor due to the lack of seats. Unfortunately, this detracted from the experience. We didn't take in as much because of this, and it became more difficult to participate in the clapping.
Eventually during the concert, the professional clappers brought a long, red, transparent blanket over Ingrid. This looked pretty cool, but was very confusing without any context as to why it was there.
