I wish I played in a band
Lotta, Sol and Mathilde (15 years)
This duo concert is about hopes and dreams, showing that dreams can come true. Maria Solheim started writing songs in her teens and she's still at it. During the concert, she said that she started by writing poems, love letters and wrote a lot about her feelings.
Vocalist Maria Solheim played guitar and sang while guitarist Christer Slaaen played a mix of synth, bass and guitars. "We really liked the effects with the smoke and lights, it went really well with the songs.
We thought it was a nice concert with good music and they were very good, but the concert should perhaps have been intended more for adults. We got a bit bored over a longer period of time, and it would have been more suitable in the evening with an adult audience. The reason for this is that we thought it was a bit monochrome and that there was no highlight in the concert. There was more background music that could have been played at a fancy party or restaurant than at a concert.
The guitarist switched between four guitars and he did it very discreetly, so we hardly noticed. We think it was cool that he played on different guitars. The artists were a bit in their own "bubble" and didn't have much contact with the audience, but the audience was very difficult to engage so we understand that it wasn't easy.
