Hemsingsøstrene is a sister duo from Valdres in Norway. They had a concert where they played the harding fiddle and later switched to the viola. They have both been playing since they were 5 ½ years old.

The concert took place at the grinding mill at 13:15. The audience was 6-12 years old and I can see why. It's great for anyone interested in classical music, but the concert is better suited to children. The Hardingfele has 9 strings and they play mostly classical pieces and folk music.

They included the children in the performance, with a type of game that involved one child at a time coming up, pulling a sheet of paper from one of the boxes, writing a feeling on the sheet, and then playing a song that showed that feeling. It was really nice to see the children so engaged.

They were very skilled.
