Darling West

The best start to the day you can get is a concert with Darling West. This band project is the brainchild of Mari Sandvær Kreken (vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonica), Tor Egil Kreken (vocals, banjo, bass, guitar) and Kjetil Steensnæs (vocals, guitar, pedal steel). They have - deservedly - received several Spellemann awards in the country category. "They're off to a great start and we can hear how talented they are. It just gets better and better. They have a good playlist with everything from catchy songs to calm ballads - and everything within the genre country and self-written! Mari, Tor Egil and Kjetil were also fun, harmonious, good at improvisation and we in the audience got to know them well in such a short time. They are a group of multi-talents. The pedal steel - or horse piano - suited Mari and Tor Egil's voices and the country genre well. They end with a beautiful ballad that leaves the audience in a good mood.

For the 16-18 age group, Darling West is among the very best. Highly recommended!
