"Were you provoked now? ... No? ... No, we'll just continue then." With a grin on their faces, this is the first thing the actors say after giving the finger to the audience. In our opinion, Uten Genser is a thought-provoking and different way of getting people to discuss and reflect.

We realize that this show has as many perceptions as people in the audience, and that's one of the reasons why it's cool and unique. The experience would probably have been different if we had seen it with other students, because we were the only young people in the audience. No one said anything, and we were basically unsure whether the atmosphere was good or bad. Nevertheless, we got a lot out of the performance.

Some might say it's silly, but we have to disagree. At school, it's common to swear, make fun of people and pressure someone to do something they don't want to do. The show actually deals with an important topic in a way that keeps everyone watching all the way through. Besides, grown men practically making a fool of themselves in front of a bunch of kids is hard not to laugh at.

"No, we weren't provoked by the fact that they called us 'whore' or pointed a water pistol at us. Nor did it feel offensive. The length of some of the scenes was what provoked us the most in the end, and it became tiring in the long run. Normally this would have dragged it down, but in this context we think that's the point - to test boundaries.

All in all, we thought this show hit the target audience like a shot, addresses important topics and leads to discussion whether you like the show or not. This is done in a daring and fun way. We liked this!
