The first show we saw on Thursday was "Rufs". We were very excited, because it was the first show we saw that was meant for children in primary school.

"Rufs" is about two fleas that live on the head of a homeless person. The fleas experience many different things, including love, stress and happiness.

The stage set-up was an important part of the performance. The stage itself was a bit like a round tent. At the top of the tent there were only tent poles that glowed in different colors. Around it hung blankets with wigs on them. The tent itself was supposed to represent the head. The actors played the fleas and wore similar costumes. All this made it easy for us to imagine the different environments.

The play itself jumped back and forth in time. Something the fleas mentioned during the performance was that the time "before now and later" is actually the same time inside our heads.

We understood that the show was intended for primary school children, and we agree with that. We struggled a little to understand everything that happened. This was probably because there were no clear transitions between the roles and because there was no clear plot.

After the performance, we talked to the 8-year-old children from Kampen primary school who had seen the performance with us. What they thought was good about the performance was that it was fun, good, the stage set-up was nice and cool. But some of the children also struggled to understand everything that happened.

All in all, the performance was very appropriate for the age group with singing and the right kind of humor.
