The two of us - a one-man show

We have now seen the performance "Us two". It is a performance where Rasmus Jørgensen tells about his first love. This performance consists of singing and storytelling with very funny movements that mirror his 16-year-old self. The performance is humorous. It shows something I think most people can recognize themselves in. I saw some of the audience at Jørgensen's age thought it was a little extra funny with the characteristics from the time he told about.

He talked a lot about what was cool at the time and what the "toughest" boys were like. Rasmus took turns telling the story and showing us with songs and scenarios, in a fun playful way that also shows some of the differences between young people then and young people now.

The play was performed at blackbox theater and is intended for the age group 12+. the play is 25 minutes long, but I feel I could have watched much longer. The sound really helped set the mood and made the play much more dramatic, the sound engineer is Fredrik Fagerli Dahle.

He, a mixing desk and a microphone stand were what was on stage. Rasmus used visualization to bring the story to life, with a remarkable teenage-like body language.

Young people then also have a lot in common with young people now. Young people then, like young people now, can quickly fall hopelessly in love. In this play, it was more about how he fell for the girl, and not so much about what happened afterwards. It would probably have been fun if he had also included more details towards the end of the story.

I think the show was incredibly entertaining from start to finish. The actor portrayed the role in an impressively good way that made the whole show. I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and how he portrayed the story in an interesting and exciting way. I would recommend this play to young people from 8-10 years old.
