Equina's diagnosis is a performance put on by deWangen productions. It is very unique and exciting. They used several effects we have never seen before in theater. The show is performed at the old veterinary school. Before the show started, we were given headphones with one of three colors; red, green or blue. When all the groups had been given headphones, we were taken into the entrance area and asked to wait. The show begins with a radio and news bulletin on the ear. During the performance, we were taken around several rooms and shown several scenes of different characters. The whole story takes place in a kind of canon. The different groups (colors) are told different things and therefore go through the performance in different orders. There are six different characters that we get to know a little about, which are eventually linked together.

Equina's diagnosis is a relatively dark idea set a few years in the future. It can be both very straightforward and very open to interpretation. We found it very exciting but also very confusing. The actors are fantastic and the location (the old veterinary school) makes it even better. It created its own atmosphere that fit perfectly with the performance. They also used lighting in a very cool way by filling some rooms with smoke/fog to create a unique atmosphere.

We strongly recommend the show for ages 16 and up. Some of the scenes may be uncomfortable for minors, but they create a strong impression and add depth to the characters.
