"The Night of February 28" is about the Swedish Sara and her theory that the world will end. We are in the 1980s in Karriveien in Sweden. A lot of bad events happened in Sara's life at that time, which made her lonely and sad. At the same time, the whole of Sweden was in a great depression. Because of events like the murder of the Prime Minister, the Chernobyl accident and the failed space rocket launch in the US.

When the Swedish Prime Minister was murdered, Sara's father was called in to investigate the murder. He became completely absorbed and obsessed with the case. In addition, Sara's parents had recently separated. In the midst of all this, Sara was sure she was pregnant. With her mother gone and her father busy with the investigation, Sara had no one to talk to. Over 20 years later, we see Sara attending her father's funeral and looking back on her youthful punk days.

They presented the play in an exciting and humorous way, even though it was quite a serious topic. Since a lot of the humor was about things that happened and were typical of the 80s, there were things we younger people didn't quite understand. They used a lot of music that was very catchy. I was also impressed by the props and the actors' performances. They really got into the roles, which meant that the audience followed and empathized with the different characters. It was also interesting that there were many multicultural characters.

A lot of the humor played on things that were typical of the 80's, so we think this is a play that is suitable for those who lived at that time. However, we liked it because we could recognize ourselves in some of the roles since we are young people ourselves. Even if you were young then or now, you still go through a lot of the same things. Since we didn't know much about the history of Sweden beforehand, we learned a lot of new things.
