We are taken into the well-known fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel", but now with a little twist. It has humor, for both young and old. The performance was mainly for children aged 4+, but was also suitable for adults as it had many humorous elements. We follow Hansel and Gretel on their classic adventure.

The plot is virtually the same as the original. There is a famine in the country, and Hansel and Gretel's family is struggling to get enough food. The evil stepmother decides to take the children into the forest and leave them there. Hansel and Gretel then do everything they can to get back home to their father. They manage to get hold of stones that glow in the moonlight. These show the way back to the house, where they stay. There is a famine, and once again they are left behind in the forest. Hans uses breadcrumbs to find his way home, but this time they end up on the doorstep of the evil witch.

They had creative solutions on how to present different scenes. One example is that they brought along puppets, which often took over their roles. They also had songs and music, which were performed by the actors on stage.

The performance itself was a positive experience, for us, the children and many others. The play got the audience engaged, especially the children. One example is that they got the children to hold up white stones, which lit up. The stones showed Hansel and Gretel the way home. Later in the play, they were helped by the audience to solve tasks repeatedly.

We thought the play was very funny and exciting. It is suitable for just about all age groups. What was really nice was that they got the children involved and engaged. That was important to achieve, as the play lasted quite a long time. The adults often laughed, and were entertained, with humor and music.
