Recognizable about parents

At the start of the performance IKKE! by musicians Reidar Vinja Stensvold, Olaf Kamfjord and Jon Kirke Rosslund, there was a video greeting from Gro Dahle and Svein Nyhus, who is the author and illustrator of the book IKKE!.

The book is about a child named Tiki, who loves to explore new things. But every time Tiki was going to explore something, his parents always said “no, no, it’s dangerous” and every time they said that, Tiki just got smaller and smaller. The three musicians have composed songs for the book, which are about how Tiki feels and what his parents say to Tiki. All the musicians sang and they got the audience to say NO.  

I think the performance was very nice, good and funny and the music that the musicians have made fit the book very well. But I think the performance is best suited for those who go to kindergarten or toddlers, but there were many adults who thought the performance was funny. You also really recognize it with the parents saying a lot of “no”, “not” and “it’s dangerous”. I think the three musicians got the message in the book across.
