One of the Norwegian Arts Council's main priorities is to improve the quality of art and culture for children and young people. To this end, the Arts Council is announcing project funding as part of the Kunstløftet project. The aim is to increase professional interest and artistic relevance in the field of art for children and young people. Funding will be given to projects that, through art or knowledge production, dissemination or networking, are able to significantly renew the field or add new perspectives or understandings of quality.

Kunstløftet is an interdisciplinary initiative and invites projects in all areas of art and for all age groups of children and young people. At the same time, the Arts Council sees a need to stimulate more good projects for children from 0 to 6 years and particularly encourages projects aimed at this target group. It is a prerequisite that the projects for which funding is sought also reflect contemporary artistic and cultural change processes.
