Two Sisters and 12 Months is an Eastern European fairy tale suitable for children aged 6-12. The self-produced music and creative use of voices contribute to the atmosphere of the fairy tale. The fairy tale is about three women who lived in a dark forest: An angry widow, her daughter Marfa, and her stepdaughter Mashenka. Marfa is very spoiled and escapes all duties, unlike Masjenka who has to do everything. The widow hated her. Masjenka is sent out to perform all sorts of impossible tasks, such as picking wild strawberries and violets in the middle of January. On the way, Masha meets twelve mysterious men sitting around a fire. They are supposed to represent the twelve months of the year.

The play itself was a very good work, but it can quickly become a bit complicated for the youngest. We think that more people should have been involved in the play, as all the roles were played by just one person. The distinction between the characters could have been a little clearer, making it easier to follow the action. Throughout the play, Evelina Petrova played the accordion, sang and used her voice to create different sound effects. The sound effects were very realistic and were meant to represent animals, weather and the characters in the play. This was very well liked by the audience. The stage design was very simple and the only stage element, apart from themselves, was a cane. This worked well, but it wouldn't have mattered with more scenery. The actors grabbed the children's attention at the first moment, and several times the hall was filled with giggles and laughter.
