Rotha was a performance full of music and history. It's about a Viking who goes up to northern Norway to find seals and whales. He ends up meeting a Sami girl and they get married.

It's filled with beautiful joiking and music. And a narrator who explains the story in a way that's easy for anyone aged 9 and over to understand.

The target group for this performance is 7 - 15 years, but we think 7 is a bit young. We think the target group should be 9-15/16. If a 9-year-old had been paying attention, they would probably have understood what was happening, but it would have been difficult to sit still because it was a lot of the same thing. There was a lot of joiking which is (at least for me) very calming which made me tired and made it difficult to follow the story. I might have fallen asleep a bit, hehe.

Otherwise, we think the performance was very good and interesting. We think this performance was an excerpt of something more and that we would have understood more of the story if we had seen the whole picture.

All in all, there was a bit too much joiking and there should have been a bit more history so that it would have been easier to follow.
