Soft Eyes is a performance based on the incident when refugees died in a truck. The tragedy happened in 2015. 71 refugees were smuggled in a truck, during the trip they ran out of air, so they all died.

Our expectations were mixed, some were very skeptical and scared, others just very excited. The concept of putting on a show in a truck was completely new to all of us, and we were excited to see what it would be like. As soon as the audience was gathered in the truck, the actors arrived and the performance began.

There were four actors, dressed as people from the upper class from the Baroque / National Romantic period. The four performed synchronous monologue. They talked in an incredibly interesting and captivating way. The actors were incredibly in tune and spoke equally. They had good diction, so we understood everything they said.

The costumes were the only effects. No sound or lighting effects, except for sound from a news broadcast at the very beginning. Personally, I think this was a good idea. The fact that there was no light show made the performance more real. The only light source was a worn lamp in the ceiling, which gave a good picture of the conditions the refugees were in. It also put the focus solely on the actors and what they were saying.

The actors managed to keep everyone's attention, everyone was completely involved in what they were saying, from start to finish. I think the actors hit the audience so well because they were inclusive in a good way. They had eye contact with everyone, and you felt like they were talking to you, even though there were about 30 others in the car. In addition, we stood close to the actors, which gave a closeness.

All in all, I'd say it's a very good and rewarding show. Definitely worth catching.

The actors were amazing and talked in a perfect choir. They had good diction, so we heard everything they said.

All in all I would say it is a good and rewarding performance. Definitely worth a look at.
