Thirst

Thirst was the last performance Kaisa, Marius, Sigrid and I saw before we left. We thought it was a beautiful piece of dance.

Jonas Örknér and Cesar Garcia are the dancers and show how humans can be taken over by their animal instincts, we follow them as they wander in the desert thirsty and exhausted. This dance is very fluid and elegant, there is a lot of duet dancing that requires the best of both of you, like carrying and pulling each other.

The costumes are simple but effective, they have camouflage clothing and one of them has what looks like a fighter pilot suit and canvas goggles that would fit into a steampunk world. The floor is cardboard, but sand is projected onto it and looks believable, this dance is a little slow and deals with some difficult topics for young people, it is most suitable for youth and adults.
