Tine Valavuo Tyldum new general manager of Scenekunstbruket

"I think it's great to be given the opportunity to lead Scenekunstbruket," says Tyldum, "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work with the competent, skilled and friendly staff and board. I have a big heart for the performing arts; this is where I have my artistic roots!

Chairman of the board Vidar Thorbjørnsen says that the board is very pleased with the appointment: "Tine has solid and broad experience from senior positions and knows us well. She is ambitious and fearless, tidy and visionary. We are confident that under her leadership Scenekunstbruket will consolidate and further develop our solid position in a constantly changing field.

Tine has worked in the music field in recent years, including as general manager of Ny musikk, and is looking forward to returning to the performing arts. She believes that Scenekunstbruket has an important mandate and a unique position both in the performing arts field and in the Cultural Rucksack, with its well-established systems for dissemination.

"Scenekunstbruket is also important in the cultural field in general. With the work Ådne and his staff have done with various projects, the Showbox festival and networks, they have constantly contributed to the development and unification of the field. This shows how dynamic and forward-looking the organization is - which suits me well," Tine concludes.

Ådne Sekkesten is pleased that it is Tine Tyldum who is taking over as general manager, and believes that Scenekunstbruket's activities and values are in the safest hands. "Tine has felt the sawdust under her feet (or dance mats, that is) and has both an organizational and political head. These are qualities that are perfect for this job - and she's also a really nice person!
