A fundamentalist from Drammen, a female Faust, Romeo and Juliet in today's Middle East, body hysteria, overconsumption, environmental protection, I am who I am - but who am I really? What does it mean to be true to oneself? And how many people can actually live in a skinflint?

These are just some of the things that will be produced and that children and young people will be able to experience on tour throughout Norway.

The SPENN support scheme has completed its eighth round of production funding for performing arts for children and young people, and a total of NOK 2,993,000 was awarded to 28 applicants. A total of 79 applications were processed, with a total application sum of almost NOK 10 million. The projects that have been granted funding are spread across the country and in several different genres.

About the scheme:
The production funds for performing arts in The Cultural Rucksack (DKS) were moved from the Arts Council Norway to Norsk scenekunstbruk AS as of January 1, 2009. At the same time, the funds were included in the ordinary state subsidy to Scenekunstbruket.

You can apply for funding for various support schemes within performing arts for children and young people. The application must be artistically justified and should reflect on children and young people as recipients of performing arts. It is a prerequisite that the production can be sent out on tour, and can be performed within the Cultural Rucksack. Grants can be applied for new productions and projects, as well as the adaptation and revival of existing productions for touring.
