This year, as last year, Scenekunstbruket is staging last year's Hedda Award winner for best children's performance during Hedda Days. The production by Rimfrost produksjoner in collaboration with Hålogaland teater is about gender diversity and friendship. Through a mix of fantasy and reality, the performance develops knowledge and insight that helps us understand that there are many ways to be human.

"We're going to take you on a journey into the amazing world of dinosaurs. And our guide on the journey is the world's foremost dinosaur expert. Tobias. Tobias knows everything there is to know about dinosaurs, from the tiniest rag lizard to the giant Tyrannosaurus Rex."

A lot of people call Tobias Cecilie. In fact, almost everyone calls him that. Not even mom and dad know that Cecilie is Tobias. And that's not surprising, because he has a girl's body on the outside, but inside he's a boy. Tobias is the best name he knows and together with his invisible dinosaur friend Konrad, Tobias can be himself; the world's best dinosaur expert!

His best friend Pauline tries to help, but Tobias still feels like he did when the meteor crashed into the earth and all the dinosaurs died. What will happen if everyone finds out who he really is?

Tobias og dagen det slalt is written by playwright Jenny Svensson. The text is based on people with gender identity challenges and interviews with children aged 6 to 10 about gender identity and diversity.

The production is a collaboration between Rimfrost Productions and Hålogaland Theatre (Regional Theatre for Troms and Finnmark) and had its world premiere on November 23, 2017. Tobias og dagen det smalt played two performances during Showbox 2018.
