We're delighted to announce that we've been awarded funding for BOTH of the EU projects we applied for from Creative Europe. Only 84 out of the 401 applications were granted, and we are a partner in two of them!

PUSH+ and TEEN2 are a further development of our two previous projects PUSH and T.E.E.N. and we are both proud and excited to have the opportunity to continue the work we have started. This is important for Scenekunstbruket and recognizes the work we do both for the performing artists and the young audience. It gives us a fantastic opportunity. Over the next three years, we will expand our international network and, together with performing artists and young people from Norway and the other partner countries, work to increase quality, artistic development and contribute to a deeper and broader understanding of the place and role of the performing arts in the lives of children and young people. And, not least, talk about how we can help to create performing arts that children and young people take seriously and touch them as whole people.

Together with Imginate (Scotland), Krokusfestivalen (Belgium), Åbendans (Denmark) and new partner Bangkok International Children's Theatre Festival (Thailand), Scenekunstbruket and Showbox will build on the themes and experiences from PUSH and provide more opportunities for artists to develop new ideas and projects, and for the project partners to program new performing arts at their festivals.

PUSH+ will focus on three new but related themes; Home, Failure and Different Bodies. Each theme will have a year-long focus. We will explore each theme in three artistic formats to inspire experimentation with form and content. These formats - Participatory, Site-specific and Intergenerational - give us more direct, and sometimes interactive, contact with our audiences, and they are formats that have been done less in the past.

TEEN2

EU project: TEEN 2

TEEN 2 is a collaborative project that aims to create a concrete and active relationship between artistic directors and youth audiences in a curatorial team, so that young people themselves can have a role in the artistic management of theater festivals. In this way, we want to develop a sustainable and inclusive method of audience engagement.

Partners in the project are Scenekunstbruket with Showbox, Segna d'Infanzia in Italy, Teatercentrum in Denmark, Krokusfestivalen in Belgium, Fundació Bancària "la Caixa" in Spain and Dialogue - The Community Performance Network from the UK.
