Scenekunstbruket establishes network group

Many respondents to Scenekunstbruket's survey are looking for meeting places for professional communities, networking opportunities and arenas to ask for advice or discuss new ideas. We want to address this, and are establishing a networking group.

Scenekunstbruket recently had a survey where we wanted to map how artists who work with performing arts for children and young people look at the future and their own artistry, and what their reality and activity looks like today, after a year of pandemic.  

Many respondents are looking for meeting places for the professional community, as well as networking opportunities, mentoring opportunities and arenas to meet new people, ask for advice or brainstorm new ideas. We want to address this, and are establishing a networking group for performing artists to share experiences and support.  

Om the networkgroup 

  • Participants will meet each other in scheduled network meetings  
  • All meetings are held digitally on Zoom and are held approximately once a month 
  • The meetings will be characterized by dialogue with the opportunity to talk together about challenges, ideas, opportunities and get professional replenishment.  
  • You are not obliged to attend every meeting, but we encourage you to do so. 
  • The networking groups should be a community where you can support and learn from each other, and where you are willing to give to the group as much as you get back. 

Who can participate?  

  • Anyone who works with performing arts for a young audience, such as actors, dancers, directors, choreographers, set designers, costume designers, sound or lighting technicians, producers, playwrights, composers, musicians, make-up artists, puppeteers or others. 
  • We encourage artists from all over the country to participate.  

Tentative schedule for network meetings 2021: 

  • Thursday, April 15 at 10:00-12:00: Establishment of the network. Presentation of the participants, meet Scenekunstbruket, clarification of needs and wishes for professional and social content in the network in 2021 
  • Wednesday, May 12th  
  • Wednesday, June 16  
  • Thursday, August 19  
  • Wednesday, September 29  
  • Last meeting at Showbox in December 

NB: The dates are preliminary, final program is set at start-up.
