A performance for all those who have been - or who intend to be - concerned with the opposite sex. A fresh and honest theater performance aimed at young people.

We meet two young men - one is a civilian worker at a theater, and the other is his unemployed musician friend who comes to visit and messes up his working day. They are on stage at the theater, where the civilian worker's job is to tidy up the costumes and props that are strewn about.

They are more concerned with girls than with big politics and the uncertain future - longing for girls, for understanding these fascinating and incomprehensible creatures, and the vulnerability surrounding this. They move high and low, from intimate confessions to overt bragging to outrageous song and dance numbers. From gentle guitar tones to stand-up comedy and gala dress dancing.

Both have a desire to be on stage themselves, and at one point they put on the costumes that are lying around, and do a parody of the play that is performed there every night. It's Prince Paris and the Golden Apple, transformed for the occasion into Prince Paris and the Golden Banana (they couldn't find a golden apple).

Secondary school students have been consultants in the process. Through conversations and questionnaires, Grenland Friteater has explored themes such as uncertainty, curiosity and unanswered questions about the opposite sex. This communication has been important in the preparation of the text for the performance. The aim is to dare to talk about burning issues that concern young people, without pointing a moral finger.
