Tolv på fem psykose av Sarah Kane
Franzisca Aarflot
Every night at twelve to five she wakes up with a sense of clarity. She knows who she is, but there is someone she cannot bear to be.Two actors enter a white stage room. Carefully, tentatively, they listen into a world of pain, confusion and longing. They find a story that is not first and foremost a cry for help, but a plea for love. The production uses sign language and speech on equal terms, and is aimed at both deaf and hearing people. A performance that gives the floor to a deaf and a hearing actor on equal terms. A project that explores the possibilities within a form where sign language and speech are equal, and where text (projected) and physical expression are integrated with the languages into a scenic whole.4:48 Psychosis premiered in London in 2000, and has since been performed in several theaters around the world. Franzisca Aarflot presents Jon Fosse's translation, in a new and different production.
