What is it like to experience your parents moving apart?

The girl you meet in the performance "Two Homes" experiences that her parents suddenly won't be living together anymore, and that she finds herself living in two homes. Last year, 20,000 couples were divorced or separated in Norway, and almost 25,000 children had to share a home.

Toril Solvang and Birgit Nordby have been involved in this issue for many years. Four years ago, they started talking to young people to find out how they put into words their experiences of their parents breaking up and living in two homes.

Fair distribution, the right to be heard, two sets of keys and parents who suddenly don't talk to each other anymore are themes in Two Homes. What is it like for a young person at the start of life to deal with this?

This performance is not a true story, but it is inspired by reality. Toril has taken words, themes and important points from the young people they have spoken to, but the girl you meet in the performance does not exist in reality. She only exists on the theater stage.
