An interactive dance performance based on experiencing the world through bodily encounters; between different bodies or between the body and its surroundings.

In terms of form, the project moves between being a performance and a workshop, a laboratory and a safari, where children are invited in various ways to explore space and movement together with the performers. Through sensory and tactile exploration of the space, or basket embraces, the audience gets to experience both physical power and sensibility up close. The aim is to challenge the audience to experience the body beyond the everyday.

The expression unfolds in a tactile landscape shared by the performers and the children - a landscape that can be placed in various locations in the school or other arenas. The landscape functions both as a performance space and as a temporary installation - a work of art in itself. Both the performers and the landscape are transformed through the performance's various situations.

The Safarium is specially designed for children with special needs, but can be adapted for everyone.
