Two women. Two men. We don't know who they are or where they come from. They talk about being thrown into a world full of opportunities, but feel the fear of failure.

They talk about the city that is suffocating them, about being sickened by love, destroyed by grief, about finding a way out of loneliness. What does it mean to feel like an outsider?

Through small glimpses of their lives, thoughts and conversations with themselves, they try to construct the world and themselves in a way that makes sense. The need to understand and the longing to be understood.

The form of the performance is fragmented and highly rhythmic, composed as a piece of music in which the four actors each have their own voice. It alternates between concrete storytelling and more associative and abstract parts where the words form musical images in space.

We can all experience difficulties in life, and there are as many versions of mental health as there are people. We want to open up the conversation around this, inspire further thoughts on the topic of mental health, and expand the concept of normality.

The production is produced in collaboration with Mental Helse Ungdom, supported by: Spenn.no, ExtraStiftelsen, Arts Council Norway, Dramatikkens Hus, Fritt Ord, Fond For Lyd og Bilde, Oslo Kommune and Fond For Frilansere.
