On an ordinary Saturday night, a group of friends go to a pre-game, a party and an after-party. They dance and drink, laugh and talk.
Someone might see HER and HIM disappear into his room, late at night and in the middle of a drinking game, and what eventually happens in the room between them is just fun for HIM. And SHE? Says it's rape.
In a loose series of scenes and small episodes, the group of friends, SHE and HE reconstruct a complex picture of what happened. Friendship, prejudice, intoxication, pride and bragging distort the views and stories surrounding this evening.
The performance doesn't offer moral finger-pointing or solutions, but allows us to look behind a newspaper article, a closed case of recreational rape. Who are the people involved? What are they experiencing? Why do they do it? A play about guilt and confusion, about boundaries and vodka, about porn and reality, about skirts and heartbreaks, about being a boy and being a girl. A play about how important it is to speak up.
Hedda Award winner Cecilie Mosli directs this newly written youth drama that focuses on young adults' boundaries in relation to sexuality and substance abuse. Esther Buchmann (EstherOrkester) and Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg (Urørt finalist 2013) have written new music for the play.
