Meet iSak-a highly successful artificial intelligence.
It has been programmed to help people in need of care so that they can continue to live at home. iSak is one of many artificial intelligences that keep society running, which is why it is so serious that it has now been accused of killing its patient. It's an impossibility that puts the whole of society at risk.
iSak questions what it means to be human. What is empathy? And is the most efficient society the best for us? How can humans survive in the age of data when algorithms do virtually everything faster and better than us? Where is there room for human emotions in such a picture?
