Djønk 2.1
Flaatenbjørk kompani
If you have problems choosing a career, girlfriend or religion, don't despair: djønk will help you! The organization djønk is coming to hold its introductory course: freedom, choice & the consious addiction!
Gurid Hermansen and Hans Bjerknes from the organization djønk are coming to visit your school, and with them they have the addict "Herman". djønk is the name of an extremely fancy organization where information campaigns and coaching have become big business.
In the first part of the performance, it may seem as if djønk is a real organization and that this is a real lecture for young people about drugs and freedom of choice. djønk's course is a classic information campaign wrapped in a new and fancy idiom with digital aids and new Norwegian design. djønk travels around with its courses and shows "Herman" as a kind of horror example of how bad it can go if young people do not make well-considered, good choices.
djønk 2.1 is a staged lecture about choice, freedom and addiction.
The production djønk 2.1 is the first part of Flaatenbjørk kompani's freedom triology and appears as a modern tragicomedy that questions the responsibility of the individual in our time. Until recently, the production was only called djønk, but as it has now come in a new, better and upgraded version, it is now called djønk 2.1.
The production is supported by: Arts Council Norway, Spenn.no and Fond for lyd og bilde.
