We find ourselves in an institution where a young girl has isolated herself from the outside world. She sees herself as a victim of external circumstances, and is diagnosed with most of the mental disorders typical of her time.

The actual plot of the play is a product of her imagination and obsessions. We see the world through her eyes, we see the flaws she sees in herself; we see her subconscious. She is boundless, unable to shield herself from outside impressions and influences.

The music is composed by Rebekka Karijord, with singing and voiceover by 17-year-old Amalie Stokke Karijord. The texts used for the voiceover are taken from blogs written by young people who self-harm or otherwise exploit their own bodies. With video as a supporting element in the performance, we can gain a deeper insight into her subconscious and dreams.

Finn Skårderud writes in his book "Uro" about the boundless human being, about how some in search of boundaries go to extreme measures: "They withdraw, close themselves off, diminish themselves, get drunk or seek oblivion. The symptoms are in themselves limiting - in relation to others, to tomorrow, to the demands and expectations. In the encounter with the anorexic who is getting smaller and smaller, I think she or he is striving to find the minimal self that is small and clear enough to have control over. It's existential dieting."

In this dance performance, the girl who is struggling to establish a stable identity is given a metaphorical form. At the same time, the performance has a poetic expression through film, music and song. Music, sound, movement and image together form a story that contains strong moods open to interpretation.
