Arr is a sequel to "Kjempen Mossa", where Fabellatores went out to immigrants in Oslo and collected fairy tales. That's when they got the idea of collecting life stories. This was because many of the informants had their own experiences that surpassed the events of the fairy tale. The intention was to create a performance in which refugees are given a face that the students can identify with. The stories and the form of the performance will appeal to young people and adults. After a period of research, the fabellatores chose to use two of the stories of former refugees - a woman and a man from Iran. Names and places have been changed according to the people's own wishes. There are two storytellers, each telling their own story, commented on by music and dilemma stories - the audience is involved in the performance from an early stage by being faced with concrete choices - what would you have done? The stories are driven forward towards an unexpected climax. Eline Monrad Vistven has created the music and plays bass clarinet and percussion. The tonal language and rhythms are inspired by Iranian music. The aesthetics of the performance are simple and quiet - in contrast to a multifaceted and explosive action. "Life is hard for the first hundred years, then it gets much better."
