The aim of the project was to facilitate more engaging and inclusive theater experiences and strengthen the voice of young people in the public conversation about art. Teen Ambassadors Across Europe was an extension and further development of the EU project TEEN (Theatre European Engagement Network) which you can read more about here.

The project developed tools that programmers can use in their business, including developing a group of TEEN ambassadors. The role of the ambassadors was to represent their peers in discussions with artistic directors about what they would like to see on stage and to spread performing arts experiences to their peers. The project also further developed the Kitchen Table format created in the first TEEN project.

The project was supported by Creative Europe. Partners were Norsk scenekunstbruk, Segna d'Infanzia in Italy, Teatercentrum in Denmark, Krokusfestivalen in Belgium, Fundació Bancària "la Caixa" in Spain and Dialogue - The Community Performance Network from the UK.

The project has entered a third period, without Scenekunstbruket as a partner.
