New national unit for The Cultural Rucksack

Yesterday it was announced that the Concerts Norway's mandate will be changed and that they will become a national unit for the Cultural Rucksack.

We at Scenekunstbruket are positive about strengthening the structure of the Cultural Rucksack and ensuring that all artistic expressions continue to be safeguarded. We hope that this means that each art field can continue to develop based on its own premises and needs.

Scenekunstbruket is a national player in the field of performing arts in the Cultural Rucksack, and has received no signals that this will change. For 20 years, we have facilitated the dissemination of high-quality performing arts throughout the country, thereby also contributing to improving the quality of what is produced. Scenekunstbruket has placed great emphasis on building good and competent performing arts dissemination networks. We base our dissemination activities on the distributed dissemination model (as opposed to a centralized model), where all parts of the network should have an influence on what is shown locally - and through that feel a closeness and ownership of what is shown. We believe that this sense of ownership is fundamental to maintaining enthusiasm and motivation in the work with the Cultural Rucksack.

We look forward to contributing to the reorganization process, and as a non-producing institution, we will continue to work to ensure that the entire performing arts field, both institutions and companies, are stimulated to produce good performing arts for children and young people, and that it is disseminated throughout the country.
