Katja Brita Lindeberg - new member of the artistic council
Katja is a performing artist, actor and artistic director of her own company and has extensive experience of performing for children and young people.
We welcome Katja Brita Lindeberg to our artistic council!
Katja is a performing artist, actor and artistic director of her own company; Katja Brita Lindeberg Productions. She is educated from the Canadian clown educator Sue Morrison and Stockholm Dramatiska högskola. Katja has toured within The Cultural Rucksack for a number of years and performed more than 1000 performances for children and young people. In this way, she has gained solid knowledge of art education for children and young people and the interaction between artist, teachers and students. Katja has been engaged as an actor at Riksteateret, Nordland Teater and Trøndelag Teater, as well as Rabarbrateateret, Raa Productions and Ibrahim Fazlic Productions. Since 2011 she has also been a hospital clown.
The members of the artistic council are usually appointed for three years at a time and are put together to give the council broad professional expertise. The artistic council assesses performances that apply for inclusion in Scenekunstbruket's repertoire. In this way, they contribute to maintaining and strengthening artistic quality and communication quality. In addition, the Artistic Council assesses applications for the adaptation of performing arts productions for touring and revivals, and distributes funds set aside for this purpose in collaboration with Scenekunstbruket.
