How does the lack of diversity of different bodies in the performing arts affect the audience?

How can we open up to new perspectives and perceptions, where ideas and practices about different bodies are stretched and challenged?

In this professional event, the discussion will focus on how the performing arts can become a more equal practice for different performers, organizers and audiences. Tone Pernille Østern presents the work she did as head of Different Bodies Lab for Scenekunstbruket in the EU project PUSH+

Tone Pernille Østern is a dance artist and professor of arts education with an emphasis on dance at NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is also a visiting professor of dance didactics in contemporary contexts at Stockholm University of the Arts.

Different Bodies Lab is part of the Creative Europe project PUSH+, where Scenekunstbruket is one of five international partners. The artists participating in the project come from Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium and Norway.
