EXTRA FUNDING FOR THE SHOWBOX FESTIVAL

What a wonderful message to receive just as we kick off this year's Showbox!

The Ministry of Culture has awarded Scenekunstbruket an extra grant of NOK 300,000 to strengthen the work and implementation of this year's festival. 

"This is really welcome funding at a time when we're losing ticket revenue and transitioning from physical to digital festivals. It gives us both energy and motivation to continue working on what we are most concerned about; Communicating good performing arts experiences to a young audience and ensuring that expertise in the field of performing arts for young people is developed and shared," says Ådne Sekkelsten.

The performing arts festival Showbox will be held for the 16th consecutive year this year, and will be officially opened by Minister of Culture Abid Raja on Tuesday, December 1 at 2 pm at www.showbox.no
