Join our artist networking group

Last year, Scenekunstbruket conducted a survey to find out how artists working with performing arts for children and young people view the future and their own artistry, and what their reality and activities look like today, after one year of the pandemic.  

Many respondents wanted meeting places for the professional community, as well as networking opportunities, mentoring opportunities and arenas to meet new people, ask for advice or brainstorm new ideas. That's why we set up a networking group for performing artists who work with, or want to work with, performing arts for children and young people. We've been meeting on zoom for a year and finally met in person at Showbox. Now we want to expand the network for more performing artists.

About the network group  

• Most meetings are held digitally on Zoom so that artists from all over the country can participate, but we try to meet physically a couple of times a year.
• The meetings will be characterized by dialogue with the opportunity to talk together about challenges, ideas, opportunities and get professional replenishment.  
• You are not obliged to attend every meeting, but we encourage you to do so. 
• The networking groups should be a community where you can support and learn from each other, and where you are willing to give to the group as much as you get back. 

Who can participate?  

• Anyone who works with or wants to work with performing arts for a young audience, such as actors, dancers, directors, choreographers, set designers, costume designers, sound or lighting technicians, producers, playwrights, composers, musicians, make-up artists, puppeteers or others. 
• We encourage artists from all over the country to participate.  

First meeting in 2022

Let's have another corona chat! Maybe the last one? How do you get people out of the sleep routine and into the theaters? Do you still have to budget for understudies? What happens when you have to cancel in the future and there are no support schemes anymore? There is still a lot to discuss here. Bjørn Tore Grøntvedt introduces. It's also a good opportunity to take stock of how everyone is doing now.
