Workshop with Opposable Thumb

Dik Downey and Emma Williams from the fantastic Opposable Thumb are back in Norway, with their brand new performance Don Qioxote (is a very big book) and Go Figure! we are offering professional performing artists a free workshop in figure use/playing and directing for figure theatre, in collaboration with Figurteatret i Nordland , Scenekunstbruket and Kloden Theatre .

Emma and Dik are experienced workshop leaders, and have created a workshop that is suitable for all professional stage artists, whether they are experienced figure artists or complete beginners. The workshop takes your level into account, and emphasizes figure techniques, visual storytelling methods and looks from a director's perspective at the use of figures as a means of effect and pure figure performances.

Absurd humor is a hallmark of Dik and Emma's artistry, but as masters in the field, they will have something to teach absolutely anyone who wants to develop their figure skills.

NB. This workshop is only for professional performers in theatre, dance, (new) circus and similar. There is a maximum number of participants, so it is first come, first served.
