The cockroach with the ugly coat.

Grande Produksjon AS staged "The cockroach with the ugly coat" and this is what Mathias, Marius and I start the day with today.

The cockroach loves summer, but when winter takes over, it gets sad. It wants to do something about this! The Cockroach takes us on a journey to find joy, but finds something completely different. This is a play that addresses important issues such as depression and loneliness in children and how finding a light in life can help everyone.

In "The Cockroach with the Ugly Coat" there is only one actor, but several voices that come out through fantastic animations. These animations are cartoonish and fun to watch. This was also how we got to know the other characters, because even though there was only one actor, there were many characters.

We all had slightly different opinions about the play, many of us thought it was great, but there were some of us who didn't think it was so good, but maybe that's because we're all 15 years old and this is a play for young children. However, we all agreed that this is a play that is very suitable for children and not least parents.

The lighting effects were very good and it set the mood. It was the right light for the situation the cockroach found itself in, which was not always easy. The music and sound effects also set the mood very well with nice singing and scary sounds. There's not much to say about the costumes. They were simple since there was only one actor to take care of. The actress playing the cockroach wore brown trousers and a brown sweater with feelers on a hairband and of course... a green coat.

This is a play we would recommend children and parents to come and watch together.
