"Strawberries" by "ANN SAM BELL" is one of two performances showing a divorce from two perspectives, "cake" showing the parents' perspective, and "strawberries" showing the child's perspective.

The child, Hannah, goes through different emotions and phases throughout the play. We think they bring this out in a nice way, using music and language, such as the strawberries growing on the balcony, which helped bring the audience to life. We want to promote the music/sound effects, which amplify the emotions of Hannah. And that they created the music on stage via backdrops, which we thought was both new and creative. Several metaphors were used that may be more difficult for the little ones to understand, which were more aimed at the older ones. All in all, a very nice piece, conveyed in a refreshing way.

We think the target audience is younger children, but want to add that we think adults/parents should see this, to get a picture of how a child can experience a divorce.
