IESTEV is a band consisting of the Sami artist Maxida Märak, Linnea Ellis, John-Kåre Hansen, Øivind Nussle and Hans-Urban Andersson. Together they have created a memorable and important concert for young people aged 13-18. Maxida's lyrics deal with important issues such as human rights and freedom of expression, and in between songs the artist talks a little about what she's singing about, including how the world has become today through social media. This is a concert that strikes a perfect balance between culture and modernity.

The music used is electronic and includes rap, among other things. On the other hand, strings such as cello and violin are also used to really balance out the electronic elements. Some of the songs can be a bit intense for some, but they also contain more calm parts. So we didn't think this mattered. Her lyrics were about important things but because she was singing in Swedish it was difficult to understand what was being sung in some parts of the songs.

In addition to the music, the concert also consisted of a light show and a movie. They played inside a large illuminated lavvo, which was used to show films that matched the music being played. This was a nice element and made the concert more entertaining. Different shapes were played and much of the film was of different natural landscapes and told something about the lyrics being sung. Various spotlights and smoke machines were also used, and here the strength and color of the lights were in addition to the lights moving around the hall. It was cool that the lights moved in time with the music, but you were often dazzled by them, which was a bit annoying.

"Those of us who saw the concert thought it was an entertaining concert. We thought it was good that the lyrics talked about important topics that should be talked about. We hope that other young people will also have the opportunity to watch the concert and we hope to see it again.
