We're incredibly proud that the projects we're involved in have received support, and we're looking forward to getting to work!

PUSH

A two-year project in collaboration with Imaginate (Scotland), The Ark (Ireland), Krokusfestivalen (Belgium) and Aaben Dans (Denmark). Through three artistic laboratories, five festival visits, 8 network meetings, 8 public events, an adapted website and a documentary film, thoughts, ideas and performing arts for children and young people will be developed. PUSH will stimulate European dialogue around three key themes related to young audiences: identity, migration and "safety zones". These are themes that describe who we are, how we choose to live, what stories we tell each other and how we can honestly but safely explain the realities of life to children.

"We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded Creative Europe funding for PUSH. It's thrilling to be on the verge of a 2-year project to explore important ideas with inspiring artists, organisations and young people from Scotland, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark and Norway. As the lead partner for PUSH, we invited some of the most exciting organisations in Europe working for young audiences to be part of this project; five partners who are committed to 'pushing' collective thinking around gender, migration and risk. We now look forward to getting started and to sharing our learning with the young audiences community."

TEEN - Teatre European Engagement Network

In collaboration with the festivals Segnid'Infanzia in Italy and Teatercentrum in Denmark, we will engage teenagers in all three countries to see and critique performing arts made with them in mind. Young people as a target group are often difficult to reach and don't go to the theater much on their own. In TEEN, we will look at what engages them and how they can be reached, as well as stimulating critical thinking. Over two years, we will follow a group of teenagers in each of the participating countries, who will see and discuss performing arts together with critics and performing artists, and also meet at the various festivals. In addition to the three festival partners, the International Association of Theatre Critics (Paris) is involved, as well as The Centre for Theatre Studies at the University of Lisbon, which will conduct research on the material collected in the project.

The partners will meet in Italy in October, and the first youth workshop will be at Showbox 2016!
