The universe is a space journey through music, performing arts and stop-motion animation.

Stop-motion is an animation technique that is different from what children are used to seeing today. It differs from digital animation in that it is created and animated by hand. This creates a tactile quality and a closeness of expression. In Universet, the performers on stage meet animated paper characters on the screen. An exciting interaction takes place. The performers play several instruments and percussion and perform beautiful, captivating songs about the universe, while the animation associates with what they are singing about. The performers wonder and sing along with the children. Melodious stories about planets, gravity and Laika the little dog fill the room and create a magical atmosphere. The songs mix both fact and fantasy, while the visuals represent a curious, rich universe in their own right. It creates a wonderful atmosphere that the fantastic can happen: flying around to visit all the unknown, meeting stars and planets, moons, galaxies. The universe premiered at Dramatikkens Hus in 2009.Framsyninga has since received funding for a revival, and will be touring Vest-Agder county in April 2011.The universe is suitable for children aged 1 to 4 and is perfect in relation to the curriculum.Framsyninga is included in Norsk Scenekunstbruk.
