It all starts when a little baby bird crashes into a nursery window, breaks its beak, falls to the ground – and dies. But the journey doesn't end there.
Slowly the bird child descends through the earth and encounters power lines, rotten trees, fossils, dead giraffes and whales. The earth turns out to be full of life, secrets and stories.
In this underground journey, children are invited to wonder about life, death and everything that can be. Big themes like grief and loss, but always in a way that gives warmth, wonder and hope. For is everything under the kindergarten dead – or is it precisely there that life continues in new ways?

Under the Kindergarten is a magical tale of conquering the world through play. The performance takes children on a humorous, poetic and musical journey of discovery underground.

The play is based on Eirik Fauske's text, staged by Anne Mali Sæther.
