The dance performance Wolf in the Shoe is inspired by well-known fairy tales, and moves through many different landscapes. Two dancers and a storyteller have joined forces to create a playful, humorous and poetic performance. There is madness, apples, love, mystery and .... wolf claws. Words can dance and dance can tell. Humor served with a good deal of cheekiness spices up this special performance. The story they have to tell is so good that no one goes home untouched."Ulv i skoen" is primarily a dance performance. But it is also a collaboration between two dancers and a narrator/actor in which movement, dance, words and music interact and create different associations and images. "Wolf in the Shoe" is inspired by well-known fairy tales, but here you meet fairy tales and fairy tale elements in new and different contexts. There are shoes and humor, apples and madness in perfect harmony. It was first produced for an adult audience, and later adapted for schoolchildren from 5th grade and up, and premiered at Verkstedet Tromsø Kulturhus on October 19, 2006. With Ulv i Skoen we want to give new relationships and associations to these well-known fairy tales. For example, what really happened when Sleeping Beauty slept for 100 years? Arts Council Norway, The Audio Visual Fund, Tromsø Municipality, Finnmark County Council, The Fund for Performing Artists, Nordnorsk Kulturråd, ABM Utvikling Den Kulturelle skolesekken and Stellaris DansTeater.
