For unclear reasons, eccentric newspaper editor Odd (surname unknown) has settled in the Canadian wilderness with his only employee - the energetic apprentice journalist Tatakanavanavanavanava Ho. In pursuit of the best Christmas headlines, and in constant fear of their competitors' headline thieves, the two of them are out here battling urgent deadlines, iron curtains and stubborn computers that break down when it matters most. The race for the headlines has only one real challenger: Santa Claus. Only Santa knows the innermost secrets of Christmas Eve, and only he has been able to produce the undisputed king of all Christmas headlines every single year. In this performance, Transiteatret builds up the scenography through the interaction between sound and physical action, and through this attempts to win in sound what one loses in spatial possibilities one faces in, for example, a school building. The relationship between outside and inside, between snowy wilderness and a hypermodern newsroom, is thus created in the relationship between sound and silence. Through the precise interaction between sound and the actors' movements and actions, Transiteatret delivers a precise, funny and not least artistically strong performance. Directions, distances and movements in time and space are realized between a physical stage language and a visual or visualized sound.
