Sukkersirkus

The smell of the circus, the magic of candy. The sweet dream that comes so rarely and the tingling feeling in your stomach when the circus comes to your city.The children who visit Sukkersirkus are tempted and challenged. They will experience candy presented in a way they have never experienced before. The performance is a physical and visual experience where all the senses are touched. There's no useful learning, no morals, no reason or warning fingers. A young girl arrives at a sleeping circus and meets a ringmaster who is tormented by a curse. With her enthusiasm and childlike faith, the girl manages to lift the curse. Slowly but surely, the magic and colors return to the circus, which becomes a paradise of candy and sweet experiences.Adults are not allowed in this performance.Produced in collaboration with Nordland Visual Theatre, with support from Arts Council Norway, Nordland County and The Cultural Rucksack.
